An architect residing in Los Angeles, Angela Brooks is also a founder of Livable places. She founded the organization to counter her frustration for the lack of coordinating planning of living spaces in the city.

Livable Places’ goal is to provide housing in Los Angeles that is not only stylish and comfortable, but also environmentally sustainable. The planning includes streets that are friendly to pedestrians, close and accessible to public transportation, and very affordable housing for low-income families.
