Well now begins the five weeks that are predicted to be some of the best episodes of Heroes yet. So without further ado, here is our review of Heroes Out of Time.

Hiro
As we saw last week, Hiro was caught kissing the princess by Kensei, and it looks like his hero hasn’t taken it to lightly. He has Hiro held captive, and it looks like the hero that Hiro had looked up to wasn’t much of a Hero after all. Hiro get’s away with the princess and goes back to face Kensei head on. They get into a big of a sword fight when some fire combine with gun powder to make a massive explosion with only Kensei inside. Hiro makes his final goodbye’s with the princess and heads back to the modern day where he finds his friend Ando and the impending news of his fathers death.

Peter
At the end of last week’s episode we saw Peter go from Montreal to a deserted New York City where there have been evacuation notices and now are being quarantined. We see Peter in the future talking with his Mom about the virus and how it took Nathan and that it was up to him to save the world (again). Peter gathers his memory rather quickly and we can see that Peter is going to have a big role is saving this world from the virus.

Claire/West
I have never been a big fan of this West character, who is the new boyfriend of Claire who can fly. West decides that he will just stop over and make waffles. West is one of those characters that comes with that “odd” gut feeling. You just know something is not right, and it has something to do with Claire’s dad. Whatever the case is West is not up to anything good coming over unannounced making waffles at her house.

We see later that same day West and Claire having a little tonsil hockey when they go for a snack and Claire has to tell West that her dad is the man with “horn rimmed glasses” the man West is after. Claire’s dad finds out about West and says that they need to leave, there is a lot of turmoil in the household.

Parkman
I have to be honest with you all, I never saw Parkman having as big of an impact on Heroes as he has. He just never seemed like a key component. However Parkman is told that he is the only one that can save him from his Dad and that is exactly what he does. He is learning to go beyond just reading people’s mind but instead searching there thoughts and dreams (like his dad). He is back in his old house before his Dad left and Molly is with Parkman, and guess who else shows up? Parkman’s dad. Parkman overcomes his fear of his father and traps him in his own dream.

Overall Thoughts

This was the best episode of Season 2 hands down, it answered a lot of questions, added even more and set up for a great couple of episodes to follow. Although I am still at lost why Kensei from the past (now called Adam) is in the present, I am sure a lot will be answered next week!
