Justin Gregorich, a 14 year old was not as lucky as his friends. He suffered from Tourette’s syndrome, a disorder in which the victim makes involuntary movements and sounds. One day while he was walking home from school a car screeched next to him. The driver was badly out of control and the vehicle plunged into a pond along the road.

The hero in Justin woke up. He dropped his backpack and dived in the frigid water regardless to his personal safety. Justin knew that he was only an average swimmer. He also knew that the pond was infested with alligators and snakes. Yet he took the bold decision of jumping into the cold water. He helped the two passengers of the car to rescue the driver who was stuck inside the car. This heroic act of Justin saved the life of the driver. Justin Gregorich was the hero of the day.
