On the morning of 9 April 2000, two boys were fishing at a mud filled lake .They were brothers aged 13 and 14.

While walking next to the mud filled banks they somehow started to sink into the mud the younger boy lost his boot so his elder brother returned to pull it out and some how got stuck in to the oozing mud. The younger boy went running for help and called out and found Mr Deam ,but bt  the time Mr,Deam arrived the boy was already  sinking up to his shoulders in mud.

First Sgt. Brad Kasal has now been nominated for the country’s highest bravery awards for his performance abroad.

Kasal was sent to different  tours in Operation Desert Storm in Kuwait, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan as well as Operation Iraqi Freedom.

It was March 15, 2006, at 1:00 a.m when a car filled with six family members overturned on the Auburn/Enumclaw Highway on the route to the Muckleshoot Reservation veered out of control and crashed sideways into an utility pole.

Mr. Marsette saw only an overturned car and without regards to his own safety  ran downwards fifteen feet from the highway to a steep fall to pull the inhabitant’s to safety.

Mr. Marsette had severe burns on his hands and forearms while trying to yank the unconscious occupants to safety through burning car windows. Although he was able to pull only three of the occupants to safety only one survived.
