YamagatoFellowship.org New Heroes Site

Aug 31, 2007 Author: Henry | Filed under: Uncategorized

TVSquad has pointed my attention to a new sister site for Heroes, it kind of looks deeper into the mythology behind some of the ancient history of the show Heroes. Just so I don’t ruin any of it for you, let me have you read what TV Squad had to say about YamagatoFellowship.org!

The second season’s of NBC’s hit show Heroes may only begin in a month but that doesn’t prevent the nice people behind the show for giving us hints about what is to come. The series just launched YamagatoFellowship.org, a new website linked to the show’s mythology. This site is dedicated to the Yagamato Fellowship, founded by Kaito Nakamura (played by George Takei) and the famous samurai Takezo Kensei (who will be played by Alias‘ David Anders).

Heroes Season 1 DVD Reviewed from IGN

Aug 30, 2007 Author: Henry | Filed under: Uncategorized

Since I haven’t got my copy of Heroes Season 1 on DVD, I figured what better way to let all of you know what another publication thought on the DVD set. Now some may have issues with IGN, I find there reviews for the most part to be rather fair, and in this case, let’s check out what they had to say about the DVD version of Heroes Season 1.

Overall, without the HD-exclusive content, this is still a well-constructed set of bonus materials. It’s sturdy, by all accounts, but lacks the added muscle of its other iteration.

If you haven’t seen it, see it. If you have, see it again. Even if it’s not HD, this standard-def version is — in point of fact — fairly heroic in itself!

IGN overall gave the box set a 8/10, saying that it lacked what its HD-DVD counterpart had.

TV Squad Gives Scoop on Season 2 of Heroes

Aug 23, 2007 Author: Henry | Filed under: Uncategorized

We are really getting close to the beginning of Season 2 for Heroes, and TV Squad has a full list of spoilers and great information of what to look forward to Season 2. I have to say having read all of these spoilers/rumors again I have to say that it is just really exciting to know Season 2 is right around the corner.

Below are the list of spoilers from TVSquad:

  • Peter and Nathan are still alive so is Matt. However, it looks like D.L. is dead (if he isn’t, he won’t be doing much this season).
  • A character will die in the season premiere.
  • Ando will be traveling between Japan and New York. There will also be some sort of connection between Hiro and him.
  • Hiro will spend part of the season in the past where he’ll interact with a Caucasian Samurai and a princess.
  • The Bennets are back together and have relocated in California. Claire will go back to cheerleading and acting like a teen. She’ll be dating West, a new Hero who can fly. Claire will start to control her powers so much that she’ll use them unconsciously.
  • In order to “fix something” (we don’t know what yet), Niki will leave Micah behind. The woman will eventually cross paths with Claire.
  • We will meet Nana, grandmother to new character Monica and Micah’s great-aunt. She will take care of the two youngsters in her once-flooded New Orleans home.
  • A new character named Elle will make her first appearance around the fifth episode. She is said to have ties to the supposed death of Peter, H.R.G.’s past and the future of Claire.
  • Peter will be held up in a cage/cell.
  • Sophie, a new character said to be dangerous, will be introduced this season. She works for a powerful group. It is unknown if said group is one we’ve seen before.
  • Expect more future-telling paintings.
  • The boogie man still haunts Molly’s dreams.

Got Milk? Masi Oka Does!

Aug 22, 2007 Author: Henry | Filed under: Uncategorized

You know Heroes has hit a new level when star Hiro played by Masi Oka is getting his very own Got Milk ad. According to TV Guide the ad reads “My hero? Think hard. It’s milk. Some studies suggest teens who choose it instead of sugary drinks tend to be leaner, plus the protein helps build muscle. So grab a glass. Then you can change the future, too.”

According to TV Guide the ad will air in Marvel comics starting September 1st.

Kristen Bell Latest Addition to the Heroes Cast

Aug 20, 2007 Author: Henry | Filed under: Uncategorized

This is the announcement that I think will surprise more fans of Heroes then any other, Kristen Bell from Veronica Mars is now coming as the latest addition to the Heroes cast for this upcoming season. What will this announcement mean for Heroes? All I know is they couldn’t possibly need to add anyone else to the cast. Here is what TV Squad had to say about the acquisition:

“Supposedly, Bell didn’t join Lost in favor of playing Elle Woods in the Broadway adaptation of Legally Blonde. According to Variety, Bell will be starring as another Elle when Heroes hits the airwaves this fall.

Elle is a sexy, mysterious lady — sounds a lot like Jessica Collins’ character — with connections to Peter, Claire and Mr. Bennet. Reports say that the character will commit a serious crime when she appears in October, but her true alignment will be up in the air.

Will she be a Suresh or a Sylar?”

Heroes Continues Adding to the Cast

Aug 17, 2007 Author: Henry | Filed under: Uncategorized

This is by far the most casting I have seen for a show in quite sometime Heroes has had just an absolute onslaught of additions to the cast, expanding further then I think any of us could have imagined this summer. However NBC has announced that they have brought Janel Perrish from the latest movie Bratz’s to come on to join the cast. Here is what TVSquad.com had to say about the addition.

NBC has confirmed that Bratz’s Janel Parrish has been brought on board. I guess producers are trying to add some more cute teen factor. As if Hayden Panettietre wasn’t enough.

I am glad that NBC could look over Parrish’s performance in Bratz: The Movie. I was pretty sure that movie was going to kill the career of anyone who got near it. Except for Jon Voight, he is untouchable. Although, to be fair, her stale acting in the doll-inspired flick is the result of a horrible project, not necessarily a horrible actress.

Parrish will play May, the head cheerleader at Claire’s new school.

Nichelle Nichols Also Set to Join Heroes Cast

Aug 15, 2007 Author: Henry | Filed under: Uncategorized

After the breakout season last year, Heroes has been on a roll casting more and more to there already stellar lineup for Season 2. The show seems to be on the path of expansion and it continued today with the addition of Nichelle Nichols a former Star Trek star among many other former Star Trek cast members. Here is what TVSquad.com had to say about the latest Heroes casting.

To boldly go where other Star Trek actors have gone before: Heroes! A few days ago, TrekMovie.com revealed that Nichelle Nichols, who played Uhura in the original Star Trek series, was cast in a recurring role on NBC’s hit show Heroes. The actress joins George Takei, Sulu from the original Trek, and Dominic Keating, Malcolm Reed from Enterprise, who are already on Heroes‘ pay roll (Keating was cast in a recurring role earlier this summer). To add to the Star Trek-Heroes links, Zachary Quinto, who plays Sylar, was cast as Spock in the upcoming movie.

TrekMovie.com also revealed that the actress would appear in five or six episodes of the series. TV Guide found out that Nichelle Nichols will play “Nana, the New Orleans-based grandmother of Monica (the new hero being played by The Nine’s Dana Davis).”

New Information on Claire’s Boy Friend

Aug 8, 2007 Author: Henry | Filed under: Uncategorized

I love hearing all of these rumors “flying” around the net, and TVSquad has had a constant influx of these rumors of what is to come from the upcoming Heroes season. Here is what TVSquad is saying about the upcoming season:

“Claire’s new boyfriend can fly, and for one particular romantic getaway he picks her up and carries her to the Hollywood sign atop Mt. Lee. Also, according to our source, Claire is still very much a teenager and has been sneaking out of the house to hang out with her new fella.”
