Jodi Longmeyer, a resource manager for the Von Maur Department Store never saw herself as becoming a hero.

Bit one fateful day, she did become one! While she was in the customer service part of the store, she heard the sound of gunfire and a cry for help.

Her first instinct was not to run away! Instead, she had this urge to help the voice she heard!

A man suddenly came out from the elevator and started shooting. Through the bullet fire, Jodi managed to stay calm and contacted the police. Later, she also helped identify the shooter!

Despite the demise of some coworkers, friends and customers, Jodi is still every inch a hero for calling and preventing more people from getting hurt and killed!
