Samntha Schink owes her life to four of her classmates.
One summer day, as she was riding her bike in her quiet hometown of Idaho, a car suddenly stopped before her. Before she could turn to see who it was, a man got out, slammed her on the ground and started to tear at her white tank top. He covered his hand over her mouth, silencing her screams. His big frame meant that her kicking and clawing proved useless.
Just in time, 4 of Samantha’s classmates noticed the car up ahead. They also noticed a girl on the ground. They hurried over and saw that it was Samantha, their classmate.
Luke Schumacher gunned his engine and raced to the Dodge, while 2 of his friends, Matt Rodrigues and Zach MacIntyre jumped out to see if Sammy was alright.
Luke dialed 911 while in hot pursuit and told them of his location, as well as that of the runaway Dodge.
Luckily, Police caught the man. He was a registered sex offender who was on parole after a 1992 rape case. The man now serves 3 to 5 years in prison.
